EDICOM has become a Gold Value Company for the Casa Caridad. This initiative in solidarity with the most disadvantaged in society unites collaborating companies that aim to improve their surroundings by supporting the NGO’s good works.
The contributions made by EDICOM, alongside other businesses, are intended to promote the Casa Caridad social projects. The impact of these projects consists of improving the living conditions for thousands of people at risk of social exclusion. Specifically, they provide services such as social canteens, shelters, a day centre and a convalescent module. There are also nursery schools and personal promotion and recovery programmes (hygiene, laundry, podiatrist, hairdresser, housing, employment, home and hospital visits).
Previously, EDICOM has collaborated with Casa Caridad in two editions of its Solidarity Night of Corporate Flavour, an annual charity event to raise funds for the organization. This year’s event brought in 20,000 euros net, 2000 more than in its previous edition, with the participation of more than 400 people related to the business world.
Casa Caridad is a pioneering institution in responding to the needs of the most disadvantaged. Up and running for over a century, it has not closed its doors for a single day, providing help and shelter to all those who have needed it. Throughout its history, it has delivered more than 45 million food rations. Moreover it has provided shelter to hundreds of thousands of homeless people.
Social commitment EDICOM
Backing initiatives such as those of Casa Caridad is designed to respond to the needs of people in homeless situations. As part of our social commitment, EDICOM seeks to contribute to society by providing knowledge and taking care of the environment. To this end, the company promotes actions that support the presence of girls and women in ICTs, collaborates with schools and universities to foster the choice and development of STEM carts or makes contributions to sports, culture and integration for the disabled.
