On December 23, EDICOM held a robotics and sports day for the littlest family members. Employees came to their workplace accompanied by their children so they could get to know the facilities where their parents work and enjoy a fun-filled action-packed day out.
This event has been held now for several years and the aim is to bring company and family closer together. Moreover, the scheduled activities are designed to introduce the children to technology and its possibilities. The knowledge and potential creativity that may spring from these children is crucial for businesses to be able to adapt at the same speed at which the digital revolution already takes place.
In the robotics workshop, the younger boys built a tower as high as possible in order to work on balance and the importance of working on a solid base. Likewise, they also set up a train with tracks and a refuelling station and programmed the machine to stop or keep going.
The older ones built robots, which they then programmed to perform different movements based on figures such as circles, squares and triangles, or competing in speed. They also made a car programmed to park autonomously using sensors.
In the sports section, the children played games that encouraged them to work in teams, favouring effort, companionship and respect, as well improvement and overcoming obstacles.
EDICOM is constantly concerned with the welfare of its employees. For this reason, the firm arranges events to favour their well-being and foster an approach to the family environment.
