The National Institute of Workplace Safety and Health (INSST) has accredited EDICOM’s adhesion to the Luxembourg Declaration. In consequence, the company undertakes to accept and implement the basic principles of promoting a healthy workplace, in the management of its employees’ health. The firm also agrees to comply with its obligations on occupational risk prevention issues. Signing up to this declaration makes EDICOM a member of the Spanish Healthy Companies Network.
In addition, after its positive assessment, the company meets the quality criteria drawn up by the European Network for the Promotion of Workplace Health (ENWHP) and can therefore apply for the Acknowledgement of Good Practices in health promotion at work.
In 1997, the ENWHP drafted the Luxembourg Declaration. This was a consensual document setting out the basic principles of action and the frame of reference for proper management of employees’ health in the company.
The “Healthy Companies” project was rolled out in 2013 in Spain in response to the INSST’s interest in acknowledging the work of companies in the area of improving the health and well-being of their workers. The project also aims to promote the culture of health and the exchange of business experiences.
