Programming, robotics and digital creativity: how the 2026 Junior Programming Days unfolded at EDICOM
The children of EDICOM employees took part in an educational experience based on programming, robotics and digital creativity, reinforcing the company’s commitment to family wellbeing and early talent development.

Technology once again became a meeting point for EDICOM families with a new edition of the Junior Programming Days, an initiative aimed at the children of employees, seeking to bring the digital world closer to the younger generation in a practical, educational and fun way.
Over three daily sessions held at the company’s facilities, our Top Tech Kids had the opportunity to discover different technological disciplines through age-appropriate experiences, combining learning, creativity and teamwork.

Three days to learn, experiment and create
The programme enabled participants to take their first steps in areas such as mobile app development, programming and educational robotics.
The groups worked with tools such as MIT App Inventor, with which they designed and developed their own applications; LEGO Education, which let them build and program robots; and digital environments such as Minecraft Education and Roblox Studio, used from an educational perspective to encourage creativity, problem-solving and collaborative learning.
Through these activities, children and young people not only acquired technological knowledge, but also developed increasingly relevant skills for their future, such as logical thinking, innovation, independence, communication and teamwork.

Talent as protagonist
The closing session was marked by the presentation of the projects developed over the three days. Mobile applications, programming proposals, robotics challenges, and digital creations were some of the initiatives shared by participants, putting practical skills such as teamwork, communication and problem-solving into action.
To round things off, an awards ceremony was held where medals and prizes were presented, highlighting the effort, creativity and commitment shown throughout the entire experience.
These projects presented were the best illustration of the learning, creativity and commitment demonstrated by the Top Tech Kids throughout the entire experience.

An initiative reflecting EDICOM’s culture
The Junior Programming Days are part of the initiatives EDICOM promotes to support the wellbeing of its professionals and their families. Beyond its educational component, this activity represents a way of bringing the company closer to employees’ family environments and creating shared experiences that strengthen their connection with the organisation.
The initiative also reflects EDICOM’s commitment to fostering interest in technology and STEAM disciplines from an early age, helping to inspire career paths linked to innovation and the digital future.
Because at EDICOM we understand that caring for people means supporting them beyond the professional sphere. And on this occasion, we did it by seeing how our Top Tech Kids discovered, learned and enjoyed themselves as they took their first steps in the exciting world of technology.
