How does the Project Implementation department work?

Sabina Vidal is the France Technical Department Manager at EDICOM and she tells us about how the Project Implementation area works, as well as the functions of its two main profiles: Project Manager and Software Integrator. “Based on our clients’ needs to automate the processes for sending messages to other companies, governments or individuals, a project originates from the Commercial Department and will be managed in the Project Implementation area. In this area there are two different profiles: Project Managers and Software Integrators.

Project Managers will validate the scope with the client, define the different project activities, plan the project and monitor and control the project until it goes into production. They are the ones who coordinate the client with the team and also with other EDICOM departments.

On the other hand, the Software Integrator will be in charge of executing these plans. To do so, they leverage their skills, knowledge of our applications and languages, which are very important for international project management.

Their day-to-day work can range from customer training to JavaScript development, development of transformations between different file formats and configuration of our applications. It is a very dynamic job that will change in line with the needs of each project”.
