EDICOM creates action protocol against moral and sexual harassment

The aim of the protocol is to prevent any risk of harassment by early detection of psychosocial or organizational factors that may give rise to it, in order to protect the employee.

As a preventive measure, EDICOM has developed a protocol for action in the event of moral and sexual harassment. This tool is aligned with its mission: to provide, through continuous enhancement, quality products and services to meet customers’ needs and contribute to ongoing improvement for employees, both professionally and personally.

The aim of the protocol is to prevent any risk of harassment by early detection of psychosocial or organizational factors that may give rise to it, in order to protect the employee. To meet this objective, the protocol defines concepts and behaviours of harassment and sets out appropriate preventive and corrective measures based on the proper exercise of authority, protection of the ethical and moral standards of the organization, and protection of the rights of the people who are part of EDICOM.

The actions defined in the protocol are designed to encourage their implementation and diffusion throughout the company. In this sense, employees have been given specific training to know how to apply it and be able to detect harassment situations. Likewise, the tool’s availability has been made known to the entire team and can be consulted on the intranet.

EDICOM’s principles and commitments allow zero tolerance of harassment through an internal, swift and effective response to this type of conduct. The aim is to ensure absolute equality between workers, respect for personal dignity and compliance with the principles of voluntariness, efficacy, coordination and participation.

Currently, only 15% of Spanish companies have implemented an anti-harassment action protocol. This is revealed in a study carried out a study carried out by the Basque Observatory on Harassment and Discrimination, presented during the celebration of the II Autumn Training Day of the Asociación Nacional de Laboralistas (ASNALA).
