EDICOM holds 8th Convention in Ibiza and Formentera
On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, EDICOM celebrated the eighth convention in its history with a unique experience in Ibiza and Formentera for its employees.

EDICOM turned 25 years old in 2020. For the occasion, the company was preparing a very special trip. However, the pandemic made it impossible for this to happen. Two years later, the convention has finally been able to take place, and in a big way.
Last June, EDICOM employees and their partners enjoyed a few days in Ibiza and Formentera, where they lived unforgettable experiences that have undoubtedly allowed them to strengthen ties and bring them even closer together as a team.
During their stay on the island, they stayed at the exclusive 7 Pines Resort Ibiza, where they had a truly deluxe experience. It was a very intense four days in which the team had the opportunity to enjoy the island, as well as the hotel.
Convention 2022 kicks off!
On the first day, a surprise awaited them at the Palacio de Congresos in Ibiza. The company had prepared an opening event for them with Ibizan band Bluesmafia i es Saligardos playing and they were accompanied by acclaimed comedian Jesús Manzano.

EDICOM management also intervened, thanking and valuing the work and dedication of the employees throughout its history:
“This convention was held in the spirit of celebrating 25 years of the company. We have achieved truly great levels of success for a company that came into being in Spain, in the Valencian Community. We are one big family and we have really made a lot of effort -and continue to do so every day- to ensure that this is not just another company. You are the ones who have made it all possible. Thank you very much for all that you have given us. Ultimately, it’s all about having fun and enjoying our success.” – said Vicente Vilata, EDICOM Commercial Director.
“EDICOM’s success consists of having technologists of great technical and professional level who have made the technological evolution of our services possible, along with the technicians who are constantly updating our clients’ solutions, ensuring their satisfaction at all times. This convention is about smoothing out the rough edges caused by everyone’s eagerness to provide excellent customer service. We need to adapt, evolve and improve day by day. We are all necessary and important in this company,” said José Vilata, EDICOM Technical Director.
Ana Darder, the company’s Deputy Technical Director and Human Resources Manager, also wanted to emphasise that: “More than ever, we need people who are even more involved and committed in order to provide the excellent quality that our customers expect. I want to thank all the production staff for all their hard work, because without you EDICOM would not be what it is today.”

After the event, the EDICOM team went to the hotel, where they were welcomed with a glass of champagne and a wonderful meal in their facilities. That evening, they were able to visit the city, do some sightseeing and enjoy selected restaurants on the island for dinner. There was also a party with music in the hotel, which was repeated on the rest of the nights.
Day 2: Touring the islands
The next day, employees prepared for two different experiences in different shifts. One of them would enjoy a day driving around Ibiza and visiting its wonderful coves. For the other shift, a day on a boat and lunch at the popular Beso Beach Formentera restaurant awaited.

On the way back, they had prepared a sunset cocktail and a delicious dinner around the hotel’s Infinity Pool with magnificent sea views. At this dinner they were accompanied by violin music and a very peculiar show.
Day 3: Tribute to Valencia
Employees spent a very Valencian day paying homage to their city. As if it were a Fallas day at the casal, the EDICOM team held a paella competition in the hotel facilities, where the most “cooky” employees showed off their talent. As well as enjoying a delicious paella, the Valencia anthem was played at full blast, with the conga and dancing non-stop as part of the after-dinner fun.

In the evening, they had an unforgettable experience at Finca Los Olivos Ibiza, dining surrounded by beautiful horses and enjoying live Sevillian dancing and music.

Day 4: Enjoying it all the way!
On the last day, the employees had the one experience still missing on the islands: some had a driving tour of Ibiza and others a boat trip to Formentera.
But the most special part came later. In the evening, a farewell cocktail party was held at Cala Bassa Beach Club, followed by a candlelit dinner overlooking the sea in the club’s restaurant. They then went down to the beach to witness a magical spectacle in the sky. Alongside the stars, hundreds of drones formed symbols, messages of thanks and celebration for EDICOM’s 25th anniversary.

When they arrived at the hotel, French musical outfit Charly’s Angels was waiting for them to celebrate the last night in style. The employees enjoyed their music by singing, dancing and having fun together as a team. It was undoubtedly the grand finale of a convention that will always be fondly remembered at EDICOM.
